COMPETITIVIDADE DA PEQUENA PRODUÇÃO INDUSTRIAL DO NORDESTE: UMA ANÁLISE DAS POTENCIALIDADES E LIMITES DO SETOR DE CONFECÇÕES

Abstract

This paper analyses the competitiveness of the small scale industrial production of the clothing sector in the Northeast of Brazil. Initially, it is presented a general profile of the micro and small companies of the sector approaching the issues related to labour, technology, production organisation, design and development of products, transformated inputs and credit. Secondly the characteristics of the narket of such companies are analysed. Finaly the competitiveness conditions of the small productive units are evaluated, emphasising their weak and strong features.
