ANALYSIS OF SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE EARLY YEARS OF CEARENSE PUBLIC EDUCATION

Education is an important tool for the development of human beings and access to opportunities that are expanded through quality formal education, allowing the reduction of levels of poverty and social exclusion. Despite the progress of the state of Ceará in the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb), it is observed that there are still many challenges that need to be overcome in the educational context, such as problems related to the infrastructure of schools. Based on this, the present research has as main objective to evaluate the conditions of existence of infrastructure of the schools of the municipalities of the state of Ceará, through the construction of an Infrastructure Index of the Schools of Ceará (IIEC) for the initial years of the public elementary school, composed of 25 variables taken from the 2017 School Census.
