INDUSTRIALIZAÇÃO DO NORDESTE E (DES) REGIONALIZAÇÃO

Abstract

This paper analyses the industrial development of the Northeast of Brazil and presents some insights about regional questions. The analythical direction of this work is given from the concepts of deregionalization and regionalization through the so known term globalization, also presenting an analysis about the new industrialization of this region and about the possibility of a regional rearticulation in the industry as a whole. As a result, it is presented a typology for this region, through some industrial categories such as specialized, traditional, sectioned by districts and turistic. To conclude, this paper suggests to rethink the Northeast of Brazil through an emergency of new strategies of regional development.
